BBC Racing Commentator John Hunt's Family Tragically Killed

The three women killed in a crossbow attack in Bushey near Watford have been identified as the wife and daughters of BBC Racing radio commentator John Hunt. The victims have been named as 53-year-old Carol Hunt, 28-year-old Joanna Hunt, and 25-year-old Louise Hunt.

John Hunt is a familiar voice to millions of BBC Radio 5 Live listeners as the voice of racing commentary. A former police officer, he moved into broadcasting after retiring from the force.

The tragic news of his family's deaths has sent shockwaves through the racing industry and the wider community. Industry leaders have expressed their support for Hunt in the wake of this unimaginable loss.

Cornelius Lysaght, the former chief executive of Ascot Racecourse, said: "John is a great friend and colleague, and I am deeply saddened by this tragic news. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this difficult time."

The circumstances surrounding the attack are still under investigation by Hertfordshire Police. No arrests have been made at this time.
