4 Killed in Late-Night Shooting in Birmingham, Alabama, Police Say
Four people were killed and another was injured in a late-night shooting in Birmingham, Alabama, on Saturday, according to police.
The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. in the 800 block of 24th Street North, Birmingham police said in a news release.
When officers arrived, they found five people suffering from gunshot wounds. Four of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and the fifth victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not released the identities of the victims or a suspect in the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
